I’m Rested and Ready for Tomorrow, Or Am I?

I didn't get much sleep Saturday night.  So, I took a nap Sunday afternoon.  Of course, that just meant that I wasn't sleepy Sunday night.  normally that starts a vicious cycle that is painful to break.  But, I decided to change things up a little.

What did I do?  I usually go grocery shopping on Monday afternoons.  We don't do school on Monday, so it turns into a nice day to run errands.  But, last night, I went grocery shopping.

Everything was fine until everyone was in bed and I realized I still wasn't sleepy.  I did some research on blogs and then I did the one thing that keeps me awake no matter what time it is.  The only time I have time to do it is after everyone's asleep.  I don't know if it is the creative process my brain goes into or what but once I start I have a lot of trouble going to sleep.

What was it?  I had a song in my had about Gideon (the subject for my preschool Bible class — see blog in right hand column).  I had to put it down on paper.  I got it done, but I didn't go to bed until 2:30.  Then, to make matters worse both the little buys woke up at 5:30, crying.  I don't know what got into them.  I got up, took them to the living room, turned on a video and went to sleep on the couch.  I then slept until 10:30.

Now I know most of y'all are shrieking, “How could she sleep that late”.  Well, I did, and I didn't feel a bit guilty.  I felt very rested when I woke up.

Needless to say, with the grocery shopping done and getting to sleep as long as I wanted, it has really been a nice relaxing day.  I've gotten almost caught up with my washing, cooked supper and started 2 more suppers.  It's 9:00 and I think I might get in bed by 10:30.

Tomorrow we should get off to a good start with school.
