Let’s Start This Over

Today, being Monday, is our errand running day.  We go grocery shopping and do anything else that we won't have time to do during the week.  We usually go to Sam's and then to Wal-mart.  I've become proficient at getting the competitor's ad prices at Wal-mart.  It sure helps when shopping for a family this size.

Now that things are beginning to get back to normal around here from the hurricane, we should be able to start school again tomorrow.  I plan to treat it like a new beginning.  We were doing okay with our school schedule since the beginning of the year, but it had already begun to slack off.  I had grand plans of starting school earlier than we have before (that's just 8:30).  Well, that just doesn't fit our family.  We tend to stay up late at night, so a 9:00 starting time really works best.  So, that's what we'll do.

I finally ordered James' latin and we had already started using it, but now we can give it the priority it needs.  Speaking of Latin, I decided that I really needed to get busy and learn it.  James is my second student to go through Latin.  I have used 3 different programs.  You'd think I'd have a clue about what I was doing.  Well, frankly, I was lost.  So I sat in the car on a road trip a couple of weeks and began getting serious about memorizing those noun and verb endings.  It was amazing how easy Latin is once you've got the endings memorized.  With my new found enthusiasm for Latin, I hope to be able to motivate James to excel in it.

Yesterday, I started teaching the 2-4 year olds in Bible class.  I have been teaching the upper elementary for sometime now.  It was quite an adjustment.  I'm writing a blog on my experiences with this class.  If you're interested you can view it at:
